Beth R. Ritter, Ph.D. is an Applied Cultural Anthropologist and Associate Professor of Anthropology and Native American Studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha.  Dr. Ritter’s scholarship and advocacy work have been primarily in service of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska, beginning with her work on the restoration of their federally recognized Tribal status in 1989. In recognition of her service, the Tribe awarded her Honorary Tribal Membership status (2002).
